Construction is Underway!

We are excited to announce that construction has begun at the CMS site for the new Campbell School of Innovation.  Demolition of the existing buildings on the north side of campus took place the week of January 8.

Next steps include underground electrical wiring and plumbing in preparation for the new buildings.  Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

Turkey Trot Drawing Winner

One the benefits of the CMS Annual Turkey Trot is raising money for our Holiday Food Baskets that are given to Campbell Middle School families.  This year we held a drawing for all student participants and our prizes, obtained by PE Teacher Tina Parrott, were generously donated by local businesses. Our Grand Prize was a pair of athletic shoes with a value of up to $120 from Road Runner Sports located on E. Hamilton Avenue in Campbell.  Seventh grade student Fernando Maciel was the recipient of those shoes.  Congratulations Fernando! Thank you to Road Runner Sports, one of our community supporters, and Ms. Parrot for helping with Fernando's selection of some very cool running shoes.

Parent Engagement Course at CMS - Digital Life

The Family Engagement Institute of Foothill College, School Linked Services and Campbell Union School District presents a Parent Engagement Course titled Digital Life for CUSD families with 7th and 8th grade students.  The eight sessions will be held at Campbell Middle School in Room C8 from 6 to 8 PM. The flyer is attached for more information and/or you may call (650)949-7463.

CMS Turkey Trot 2017

The annual CMS Turkey Trot has been rescheduled for Friday afternoon, December 15.  Student participants are asked to donate $5.00, food items, or community service hours.  This longtime tradition raises money for holiday food baskets for families in our school community.  All food and monetary donations are due by Wednesday, December 13.  Baskets will be distributed the week of December 18.

New Way to Have a Say

Input from parents, staff and other community members is very important to us in Campbell Union School District. Because we know you are very busy, we are offering a new, online way to provide your thoughts, ideas, and questions to us. It is called Thoughtexchange, and we hope it will be a convenient way to engage and communicate with us about our District and schools.

On the morning of January 16, you may have received an invitation email from Thoughtexchange with simple instructions on how to participate in this process, which will be open through January 26.  (If you do not have an email account, use this link to our Thoughtexchange.)

With Thoughtexchange, you will be asked to share your thoughts on several open-ended questions, and to read and rate the thoughts and ideas of others. Our intent is to connect with parents, teachers, community members, students, and our district staff to gather thoughts, ideas, and questions they may have about our District and schools in order to continue meeting the needs of our elementary and middle school students.

Please look for the January 16 Thoughtexchange email or use this link to our Thoughtexchange.
